Metropolitan News Company is a California corporation and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grace Communications, Inc. It publishes seven California newspapers, including two in the City of Los Angeles.

Its flagship newspaper is the Metropolitan News-Enterprise (founded in 1901). A Los Angeles daily newspaper focusing largely on law and the courts, it publishes the Rules of Court of the State of California, as well as the County of Los Angeles County and other major California counties. Its participation in the legal community includes an annual "Person of the Year" dinner in honor of an outstanding member of the community.

The Sacramento-based Capitol News Service, founded in 1947, provides reports on state government happenings to news outlets throughout California. It also provides a Corporations Service with weekly listings of new corporations in California and updated information on existing corporations.
